Ullapool
Ullapool, originally an in 1788 purpose-built herring port , now has a resident population of around 1300 people. This rises dramatically during the summer months, when the unforgettable scenery and generous surroundings attract many visitors from all countries of the world.
The harbour still is the focus of life in the village, a bustling centre with shops, restaurants, pubs, hotels, easy parking and a hypermarket in the vicinity. Ferries sail to Stornoway and cruises are offered to the fascinating Summer Isles archipelago at the mouth of the Lochbroom fjord.
But within minutes the hustle of Ullapool can be left behind. The isolation and warmth of the North-West Highland lie only minutes away.

The Band wears the Mackenzie (Seaforth Highlanders) tartan and the cap badge of the Seaforth Highlanders with the Motto "Cuidich 'N Righ".
The Band is currently led by Duncan MacLeod and performs on Thursday evenings through out the summer in the CalMac carpark.
The band is also assisted on jobs by its very own Dancing team.
